A Community Leader with a Heart for Service
At Production Realty, we are proud to celebrate agents who serve their communities in many ways. One of those agents is Shalanda Hunt, who has announced her campaign for Mayor of Jackson, Michigan, in the 2026 election.
Shalanda has lived a life centered on serving others. Throughout the years, she has worked in education, public service, and now real estate. As a result, she has built strong relationships across the Jackson community.
Serving Jackson Beyond Real Estate
Today, Shalanda serves as the Jackson City Council Member for Ward 5. In this role, she represents local residents and works to improve the community. She listens to concerns, supports neighborhood projects, and helps guide important city decisions.
Before joining the City Council, Shalanda served on the Jackson Public Schools Board of Education. During her time on the board, she advocated for students, teachers, and families.
Additionally, Shalanda works for the State of Michigan as a Child Welfare Trainer. In that position, she helps train professionals who work with children and families. Her career reflects her passion for helping others.
Helping Families Find Home
Nearly two years ago, Shalanda added another way to serve the community by becoming a REALTOR® with Production Realty.
Whether she is helping first-time buyers or experienced homeowners, Shalanda puts her clients first. She understands that buying or selling a home is a major milestone. Therefore, she works hard to make every transaction as smooth as possible.
Furthermore, her experience in public service gives her valuable knowledge about Jackson’s neighborhoods and the people who live there.
Family, Leadership, and Community
Outside of work, Shalanda is the proud mother of two beautiful girls, one a recent Jackson High School graduate and the eldest in college. Even with a busy schedule, she stays involved throughout the community.
She regularly attends local events and supports organizations across Jackson. In addition, she encourages others to become involved and make a difference. Her dedication to service continues to shape everything she does.
